Campo nell’Elba is actually composed of several villages: in addition to MARINA DI CAMPO, there are ST. PIERO, ST. ILARIO, LA PILA.

Up to the end of World War II, MARINA DI CAMPO was but a small farming village, with a harbor dedicated to the shipment of granite blocks from the St. Piero’s quarries, and of wine from the surrounding hills’ vineyards. It was one of the first villages to be discovered by tourists, attracted to its wondrous beach, Elba’s best equipped and largest (over 1200 m long), made of white, granular sand, bordering a sea of crystal-pure water.

Since then, the town has grown into a world-class resort, focusing on tourism, careful to preserve its original unique, local characteristics, developing accommodations such as renowned hotels, private flats and villas, and many more services catering to a diverse clientele.

The beautiful beach front is rife with exciting things to do!
